About

Everyday Theologian was born in my heart years ago before it had a name or structure. For years I’ve had a deep desire to understand the revelations God has given humankind about Himself. As a student at DBU, I remember staying after class to ask the professor theology questions. “Can you explain to be predestination?” Or; “Did Jesus go to hell after He died?” (Eph 4:7-10). The more I studied the Bible, the more I loved God. After all, the Bible is Christ revealed. I could not learn enough. I now realize I will be a Bible student my entire life (thank God for sanctification). As the questions continued to flood my mind, I thought, maybe others have questions too? As a student at Dallas Theological Seminary, I hope to continue growing in my knowledge of the Bible, but I want you to as well. Every person is a theologian to some degree. The question is – are we accurate?
A.W. Tozer stated, "what comes to our mind when we think about God is the most important thing about us." I wholeheartedly agree with Mr. Tozer. The way we understand God will affect the way we live our lives.
At Everyday Theologian, we focus on Christian Theology. We believe God is not a subject to be studied, like reading or writing. Instead, God is the Creator of all things (Col 1:16). We can only know what He has revealed to us as part of His creation. Thankfully, God has revealed Himself through Scripture (2 Tim 3:16), His Son (John 1:14), and the world (Romans 1:20). He is not far from us and desires that we know Him. You do not have to hold a Ph.d. or be a pastor to understand your faith, navigate your Bible, or share your beliefs. At Everyday Theologian, we desire to educate you on theological and biblical topics, empower you to be confident in your faith, and equip you will find the tools you need to share your beliefs with gentleness and respect. 1 Peter 3:15 tells us to "always be prepared to answer everyone who asks us to give the reason for the hope that we have." If you are like me and have a passion for knowing God more, this entire platform is for you. Through podcast videos, studies, blogs, and more, we will discuss theology, doctrine, and Bible questions together. My goal is not for you to always agree with me but to feel educated, empowered, and equipped to share your faith with others.
